Direct & frequent connections
The municipalities of the Sieben e. V. tourism association in the Mühlenkreis Minden-Lübbecke district are connected to the regional rail network. The towns of Rahden, Espelkamp, Preußisch Oldendorf and Lübbecke are well connected with each other and to the national rail network via regional rail services. A central role is played by the RB 71 regional train line (Ravensberger Bahn), which serves these towns on a regular basis.
Rahden forms the northern terminus of the line and is therefore directly connected to Espelkamp, Preußisch Oldendorf and Lübbecke. Espelkamp has a well-used train station and serves as an important intermediate stop. Preußisch Oldendorf is served by the Preußisch Oldendorf-Holzhausen station, which provides convenient local access to rail services. Lübbecke functions as a key transport hub within the region and offers onward connections toward Bielefeld and beyond.
The regional train generally operates on an hourly schedule, ensuring reliable and predictable accessibility for commuters, school students, as well as leisure and business travelers. Connections to larger stations, particularly in Bünde, Herford and Bielefeld, also provide good transfer options to long-distance rail services.
